Entry 5

Today we worked further on the video, linking the video's together, and choosing options that worked with the video to make it as create ful and impressive as possible in order to really attract the audience. However, the footage quality is not as good as it could have been again because our recording camera ran out of battery so we used the iphone, which was a set back but it was our only last day to get good footage before we had to edit the video and place it up on vimeo. But we had to do with what we had. However, despite the recorded things being a little un-sharp, we can still make a good quality video by adding music and effects. So we were determined to just ignore the bad footage, but use it to make something even better.

Entry 4

Today we started editing the project because we had all the film footage we wanted and didn't need anything else because thats all we needed for footage. We then went on to start working on editing the video tapes together and making our trailer. I got changed over to the film team because we needed as many team members as possible to help out with the trailer so we could make it as good as possible. The trailer was going to include the footage we shot and some music, of which we had not decided yet.  Today was progressive as we have already started our passage to completing the video and editing it to make it look impressive and stand out so people want to read the book. That is our goal.

Entry 3

Entry 3 - Today we got the camera and so we went out and choose our destinations to film which was near the car park along the road where we had small hills and rock edges to work with like the rock edge in which we were able to represent from the book by this. We took a few shots of us walking around and sitting at the rock being bored. We also took important shots like walking to the top of the mountain and killing piggy which we were all going to incorporate into the video and we choose these scenes because they were very compelling scenes, like seeing kids kill a another kid, marching through forests and hanging around rocks are scenes that will attract the audience to be interested in the book to know what has happened to these kids and what they are doing and whats going to happen to them. Their stuck essentially on a single island in the middle of nowhere.

Entry 2

Entry 2

Today we were supposed to start filming but however our partner Vhabhiz, forgot to the bring the equipment so we couldn't procede to film. So we decided to work in our teams for the project. The team which would work on the poster and the team that would work on creating the 

video. Christian sent us this email separating us into the teams which consist of Nema and me creating the poster and Christian, Vhabhiz, Amay and Kio. They will different parts with characters like Ralph, Jack, Simon and Piggy. We choose to do this because then we would have our own original work and dont have to worry about any copyright issues or anything.

First Meeting

Entry 1 - Today we started planning on what our different advertisements were going to do and we choose our final ones as a poster and a video advertisement. We choose these two because a poster is what is often shown and used around the world to present things, posters for theatre shows, for movies so it was relevant to create a poster add for lord of the flies as it could be shown in places just like these other posters are. It was also an easy way to present the book in a good manner. We also choose to do a video where we would put together a trailer for the book which presented the book and attracted audiences to watch it by making an action packed video which can portray the book in a very nice way so that the audience is very interested in making the video. Our team member Vahbhiz volunteered to bring in equipment so we could film part of our video.
